Cooper leaves a note for Audrey Horne before he leaves the Great Northern at midnight:
I've switched hotels for the time being. I don't know where I'll be for sure, but they'll know how to find me at the sheriff's station. Please call if you need anything.
I heard you're feeling better. I hope your further recovery goes even more smoothly.
Take care of yourself, Audrey. Please.
There's not a bellman around, and Cooper probably wouldn't avail himself of his services if there was. He takes his suitcase out to the car, and drives to the Bookhouse.

"There was a brief altercation with Benjamin Horne. Nothing that'll hurt any case, but -- " A quick sigh. "Harry, I've been thrown out of the Great Northern."
"Yes, I'm at the Bookhouse."
"It's in the back closet?"
"You have a linen closet?"
"No, it's just that a bookhouse tends to have books, and not linens."
"Yes, I'll be fine until morning. And then...I'm assuming that there are other places to stay?"
"Good."
"Good."
"Yes. All the details tomorrow."
"Good night, Harry."

The Cozy Box Bed 'N Breakfast -- locally known as The Coze -- is located a few blocks away from the sheriff's station, which is a good thing.
Six rooms, all individually themed.
Five are taken.
The one left:
Little Bo-Peep.
The morning after his phone call to Harry, Cooper looks at the sheep running all over the wallpaper, and on the bedspread, and sits in the armchair covered in fake sheepskin, and buries his face in his hands.
The name of the realtor he spoke with a month or so ago was Irene Littlehorse. Lucy ought to know how to find her.
In the meantime...
...sheep.
"Baa," says Cooper experimentally, and then leaves to go get a cup of coffee.
